Experience Christian Italy at its finest, with tours to the most important biblical sites, fascinating archaeological sites and fantastic city tours. This itinerary is sure to leave you breathless, in awe of the beauty and grandeur of the Italian landscape
Day 1 – Rome arrival:
Upon arrival at Rome International Airport, a representative of Aristotle Travel will meet and assist you with your transfer to the hotel, stopping first to see the ruins of Ostia Antica and the Gate of St. Paul. Enjoy a brief tour of the city, including an evening guided tour around Rome's historic centre, including the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori and the Piazza Farnese.
Day 2 – Rome:
The tour commences today with a sightseeing tour of Christian Rome, stopping first at Vatican City where we will visit the Basilica of St. Peter, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican museums. Next on the tour is a visit to St. Paul Outside the Walls and the Scala Santa.
Day 3 – Rome:
Today on the itinerary is a voyage back in time to the days of the Roman Empire. Enjoy tours of the Roman Coliseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum, the Catacombs, the Carcalla Baths and Mamertime Prison.
Day 4 – Assisi, Siena, Florence:
We will depart in the morning for the medieval village of Assisi, enjoying a guided tour of this beautiful, medieval town, which will include the Basilica San Francesco, decorated with some of the most renowned frescoes in the world. Following our visit to Assisi is a stop at Siena, where we will see the elegant Palace and Cathedral before continuing to Florence for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Florence:
The tour today is devoted to the beautiful city of Florence. Enjoy visits to the Piazza della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Church of Santa Croce with some leisure time before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – Florence, Pisa, Padua, Venice:
We depart Florence today for Pisa, where we will visit the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower and the Baptistery, followed by a drive to Padua for a short visit to St. Anthony's Basilica. The tour then continues to Venice for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – Venice:
After breakfast we will begin our day visiting Venice, an enchanting city built on 177 islands, 150 canals and 400 bridges. We will visit the Basilica of San Marco, St. Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs and Doge's Palace. The rest of the day will be spent for leisure, dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – San Marino, Rome:
Depart Venice in the morning for San Marino, the third smallest country in Europe, which claims to be the world’s oldest republic. Founded by a Christian stonemason named Marino in 301 A.D., San Marino has its own currency, stamps and political system. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Rome departure:
Transfer to Rome International Airport for departure flight.
